On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Hopeman, das ist die Tenebrionide Bolitophagus reticulatus. Europa, Sibirien. In Russland, Finnland und Skandinavien verbreitet, bis in den hohen Norden. Früher vor allem in montanen Lagen, heute in Deutschland mit starker Ausbreitungstendenz entlang des Rheins. Vor allem in Buchenwäldern, entwickelt sich am Zunderschwamm (Fomes fomentarius). Comment: Hallo GerKlein, den kannst Du getrost als Harpalus affinis stehen lassen. Das entscheidende Detail (Borsten an den Flügeldeckenseiten) ist hier nicht zu erkennen, aber die orangegelben Beine gepaart mit dem Glanz der Flügeldecken lassen die beiden sehr ähnlichen Harpalus smaragdinus und H. distinguendus ausschließen. Request: Gefunden in der Flehbachaue in Brück bei Köln, am 6. Mai 2013. Hier ging es auf Sauerampfer drunter und drüber (auf Foto C blicken sie dann selber nicht mehr so ganz durch). Bin mir nicht sicher, ob das Gastrophysa viridula ist? Ca. 6mm. Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße!

Comment: Hi Rüsselkäferin, korrekt, hier hast Du den Luzerne-Marienkäfer Subcoccinella vigintiquatuorpunctata abgelichtet. Paläarktische Art, Europa, Nordafrika, Westasien, Russland bis Sibirien. Lebt vor allem auf und von Silene, Lychnis, Dianthus, Medicago und Trifolium und weiteren Arten. Die Art kann gelegentlich an verschiedenen Kulturpflanzen schädlich werden. Bevorzugt trockene Wiesen, Ruderalflächen, Trockenhänge und Weinbergsbrachen. Recht farbvariabel. LG, Christoph
