On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo FrodoNRW, hier geht es für mich leider nur bis zur Gattung Mycetophagus, piceus oder salicis, da bin ich lieber vorsichtig. Bei Coleonet steht: "Die Unterscheidung dieser beiden Arten ist schwierig und nur nach der Färbung nicht möglich (...). Die angegebenen Unterschiede sind alle nicht konstant. Mehrere Autoren konnten die von Kavan 1949 angegebenen Merkmale nicht erkennen; für die Artverschiedenheit sprechen aber ökologische Unterschiede: salicis kommt an weichen Baumschwämmen, piceus an harten Baumschwämmen und im myceldurchsetzten Holz vor".
