On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Bisher traf ich noch kein lebendes Exemplar an, obwohl es nun schon einige Funde im MTB waren. Gestern war es dann endlich soweit; an einer Birke, ca 12mm lang, 05.06.2022, das Weibchen von Sinodendron cylindricum.

Comment: Hallo Manner, das ist Cantharis fusca, hier mit aberrativ gezeichnetem Halsschild. Sie verrät sich aber durch die roten Basalglieder der Fühler, die sind bei obscura/paradoxa ganz schwarz. Es gibt keine trivialen Anfragen! Wir alle lernen jeden Tag neu dazu und in letzter Zeit merke ich wie viele unserer Stammuser immer besser vorbestimmen. Von daher: Weiter so! Danke für die Meldung.
