View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 11-06-2022, dunes of texel. I tought it was a fly but others persisted in a bug, So I want to ask you. length about 4 mm. I hope you have a clue. Thx Arno
Species, family:
Agrilus sp.

Comment: Hi arnopiek, neither was right, it's not a fly nor is it a bug, but a representative of the jewel beetles, genus Agrilus. I can't determine it to species level from the photo, sorry. Best regards, Christoph

Species, family:

Comment: Hallo CHK, bestätigt als Coccinella septempunctata. Was immer hilft, ist ein Blick auf die abgestreifte Larvenhaut, daran kann man zumindest Harmonia meist recht sicher abtrennen. Danke für die Meldung. LG, Christoph
