On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Und noch mal Hallo zusammen,
dieser hier ist vermutlich ein Problemfall, weil er extrem schnell unterwegs und schon fast verschwunden war, bis ich reagieren und ein Foto machen konnte. Deshalb ist die Aufnahme auch leider sehr unscharf, geschätzt war er ca. 15 mm lang.

Request: Hallo liebes Käferteam, ich habe heute, 13.06.2022 diesen Käfer, leider als Todfund, auf einem Waldweg gefunden. Ich trau mich ja kaum es vorzuschlagen, aber könnte es sich hier um Protaetia aeruginosa handeln? Große Ähnlichkeit hat er ja schon. Die Länge ist 2,5 cm. Ich bin gespannt auf eure Bestimmung. Request: Hallo, 11.06.2022, Holzbachtal bei Kusel an vergammelten Resten eines Schwefelporlings. Eigentlich wollte ich diesen Käfer unter Histeridae sp. ablegen, habe mir dann doch einige mögliche Kandidaten angeschaut. Mit der deutlich erkennbaren vertieften Einbuchtung des dritten Rückenstreifens könnte es Margarinotus striola sein?
