On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 22.06.2022 4mm im Laubwald, an einem Stumpfüberrest einer im Sturm umgestürzten Pappel. Nach langer Suche stieß ich auf Ptilinus pectinicornis (das Weibchen). Stimmt das auch? Besten Dank und viele Grüße

Comment: Hallo Kakipete, hier geht es für mich leider nur bis zur Gattung Ptilinus. Bei den Weibchen ist die Trennung am Foto nicht möglich. P. fuscus geht an Weichhölzer wie Pappel, pectinicornis eher an Harthölzer wie Eiche und Buche. LG, Christoph
