On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: At home,Maia,Porto,Portugal, at 23 and 24-06-2022.Found on Trifoliuum glomeratum ground (B,at 23/06) and I assumed Tychius sp.,just that. But on 24/06 (A) on a Ulex sp.,I could do better, and after checking yours galeries, maybe (at least this one) can be (?) Tychius pusillus (from his legs).
Very small,about 3,5 mm (both)
Obs.: both photos can be diferent species.
Thank you again.
Species, family:
Exapion sp.
Apionidae
Comment: Hi Carlos, they are indeed different species, from different genera, too. As we can only process one single species per enquiry, I've decided to at least give you the genus for Photo A: It's an Exapion sp. but I'm afraid that's as far as I can go. They're difficult enough in Central Europe and in Spain there are several other species which I'm not familiar with. Because of the single-species-policy I've deleted Photo B, but I can tell you that it was indeed a Tychius. Another difficult genus which often requires several angles to capture important details. In this case I couldn't determine the species so unfortunately it's just Tychius sp. Sorry and best wishes, Corinna
