On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Rolf, das ist Cryptocephalus violaceus mit einer sehr kuriosen Fehlbildung: Der Halsschild ist in der Mitte sauber getrennt, beide Hälften schön abgerundet und mit vollständiger Umrandung. Das ist so krass, sowas hab ich noch nicht gesehen! Danke für die Meldung, die kriegt von mir ein Sternchen. Was für ein interessantes Tierchen! Viele Grüße, Corinna Sehr spannend, allerdings ist ein sericeus oder aureolus angesichts der gröberen Punktierung. Diese blauvioletten findet man vor allem in Xerotherm-Habitaten. LG, Christoph
