Request: Ich war ungünstigerweise auf Eulen"jagd" mit neuem Rucksack und hatte nichts zum Käferfangen dabei. Deshalb nur ein Foto eines freilaufenden Carabeiden. Auf dem Waldweg zum See Waldbad, nachts. Einige (ingesamt sicher über 20 auf 200 Metern Weg) dieser Laufkäfer mit Rillen, deren Identifizierung mich aktuell überfordert ;). Ca 20 mm. 03.10.2015. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, den Passagier zu identifizieren? Hypoaspis? Habe ich leider erst beim Durchsehen zuhause entdeckt.

Comment: Hallo Martin, das ist Pterostichus niger. Der Passagier ist eine phoretische Milbe, eine Determination ist so wohl unmöglich. Die sind etwas für das Mikroskop. Vielen Dank für die Meldung! VG Thomas

diesen genau 2 mm großen Staphyliniden fand ich gestern unter altem Gras bei Furth im Wald, Bayerischer Wald. Handelt es sich hierbei um Anotylus tetracarinatus?

Request: Bei einer Wanderung am 24.09.2015 im Bodinggraben (Nationalpark Kalkalpen) hat er sich während einer Rast auf einer Wiese auf meinem Bauch niedergelassen.Er war etwa 10 mm lang.

Comment: Moin Lady von 'nem Hobbit und herzlich willkommen bei Kerbtier. Da hast Du einen Vertreter der Chrysomelidengattung Oreina erwischt. Die Gattung ist in Österreich mit einer ganzen Reihe Arten vertreten, die meist sehr variabel sind und deren Unterscheidung deswegen oft ausgesprochen kompliziert ist. Soll heißen, dass wir hier ohne ein Genitalpräparat leider nicht weiter kommen. Also leider nur Oreina spec., aber mit Tendenz in Richtung O. speciosa, O. speciosissima, O. gloriosa.
