On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Kein !! einziger Käfer an diesem Tag.
Species, family:
cf. Ocypus sp.
Staphylinidae

LG, Christoph

Species, family:
Hemicrepidius niger

Comment: Hi Karol, I think this is one of our Hemicrepidius sp., probably H. niger. The form with light brown elytra is called var. scrutator. From Asia over Europe (without the North) to the Pyrenees. In Central Europe in regions with cooler, more humid climate. Regards, Christoph

Request: 20.10.2015; mehrere Exemplare im Wald / am Waldrand unter Totholz / Steinen. 500m üNn. Ca.10mm.

Ingrid
