View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo zusammen,
leider keine so scharfen Bilder. Ist trotzdem eine nähere Bestimmung möglich? Vielleicht Amara sp.? Gefunden am 13.07.22 an meiner Hauswand am Licht, geschätzte Größe 12 mm.
Vielen Dank und Grüße,
Eugen
Species, family:
Amara cf. aulica
Carabidae

Request: Hello, is it possible to classify this Notiophilus into a species based on the photos? Found on arable land 02.11.2022. Size 5-6 mm. Thanks a lot with regards Pavel.
Species, family:
Notiophilus cf. aesthuans
Carabidae
Comment: Hi Pavel, the (more or less) unpunctured, shiny stripes on the elytra are narrow, the beetle is lengthy in shape with parallel sides and the punctuation does not get blurred towards the end. All this is consistent with Notiophilus aesthuans, but a second opinion is definitely needed. Best regards, Juergen

LG, Christoph
