  Hi Inja, this should be Platycerus caprea. Larger and more robust (13-15 mm), outer edges of the mandibles not symmetrically concave. Mainly in the mountain range. P. caraboides is smaller (9-13 mm), with rounded outer edges of the mandibles, and prefers the lowlands. Regards, Christoph

Hallo nochmal. Bei diesem Tachyporus von heute schwanke ich zwischen Tachyporus solutus und T. chrysomelinus. Einerseits ist meiner so rötlich gefärbt wie letzterer (in der Galerie), andererseits hat mein Käfer nicht so einen gelben Fleck am vorletzten Hinterleibssegment. Doch ich befürchte, dass diese Merkmale eh variabel sind, sodass eine Artansprache nicht möglich sein wird. Danke und liebe Grüße! (20. Mai 2013, Fischteichkomplex)

  Hallo Karl, das sollte Plateumaris sericea sein, ein Blatt-, kein Bockkäfer. Diese Art ist recht farbvariabel, es gibt sie in metallisch grün, blau, violett, rot. In Europa, im Osten bis Sibirien und Japan. An den Ufern stehender und langsam fließender Gewässer. Lebt an Sumpfschwertlilie (Iris pseudacorus), an verschiedenen Seggenarten (Carex sp.) sowie der Binsenschneide (Cladium mariscus). LG, Christoph

  Hallo Butz, das ist Calosoma inquisitor. Der kann recht farbvariabel sein, Neben der kupfrig-grünlichen gibt es auch schwarze und schwarz-blaue Exemplare. Paläarktis, außer Nordskandinavien und Nordrussland. Überwiegend arboricol in Laub- und Mischwäldern, besonders in Eichenwäldern. Jagt Raupen von Tortrix viridana und Operophthera brumata.
