On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo konradZ, das ist wahrscheinlich Glocianus punctiger. Aber nach Südosten hin wird die Gattung vielfältiger, und selbst in Deutschland braucht man eigentlich ein gutes Bild des Pygidiums, um den zur Art zu bestimmen. Sorry & viele Grüße, Corinna

der kleinere der beiden Käfer (der einen an diesem Fundort öfter gesehenen Gymnetron rotundicolle ähnelt) scheint ein Männchen zu sein, das das allerdings viel größere (und für diese Art eigentlich zu große!) Weibchen mehrmals zu besteigen versuchte, wobei freilich auch das Weibchen sich manchmal auch über das Männchen hermachte (ich hab da noch mehrere Fotos, die aber meist nur einen der beiden richtig fokussieren). Was meint Ihr zu den beiden? Beste Grüße, Konrad

Comment: Hallo konradZ, die beiden sind ja neckisch xD. Den Kleinen bestätige ich Dir als Gymnetron rotundicolle. Hm, das dicke Tier wäre mit 3,5mm tatsächlich um einiges zu groß. Aber da bin ich etwas ratlos, man sieht die Merkmale eher schlecht. Da halte ich mich lieber zurück mit einer Bestimmung :). Viele Grüße, Corinna
