On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hi majo, in this case I can just determine the genus Notaris. It looks like N. aterrimus but then there should be no visible scutellum. I think I can see one but am not sure if it's a trick of the light. Another possibility is N. maerkeli which does have an eastern distribution. Only it should have rather reddish or at least lighter coloured feet. I'm sorry but I'll have to leave it at Notaris sp. Best wishes, Corinna

Request: Schon mal so einen Käfer gesehen? 2mm unterdem Deckel unserer Biotonne und ziemlich agil 17.4.23. Die Frontalansicht macht es dann klar - eine schwarze Milbe nutzt den Käfer (von den 1mm-Milben wimmelt es im Mülleimer).
