View answered requests for beetle ID

On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Species, family:
Xylotrechus rusticus
Cerambycidae

Request: 02.05.2014 Found in Celles - Belgium. 5mm
Species, family:
cf. Polydrusus sp.
Curculionidae
Comment: Hi Manval, I looked quite a while at this weevil specimen, but the photo resolution is not sufficient for a decent determination. The optical impression speaks for a Polydrusus species, might be cervinus. Best regards, Christoph
