On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Bis vorige Woche hätte ich behauptet, dass dieses Tier C. obscura sein muss. Nun hat aber Sonnenkäfer im Nachbar-MTB den ersten sächsischen C. paradoxa gefunden. Nun grübele ich, ob hier die Halsschildecken rund oder eckig sind. Ich bin gespannt, wie ihr das seht.

Request: Liebes Käferteam, 14.05.2023, bei Außerberg (Kanton Wallis, ca. 1000m ü.M.), ein Schnelllkäfer, ca. 14mm. Aus dem werde ich nicht schlau: Die Form sieht für mich dem Lacon lepidopterus, den ich vor zwei Wochen etwa 15 Kilometer entfernt gefunden habe (ID#392520), sehr ähnlich, aber die Beschuppung scheint vom Regen weggewaschen. Oder ist es eine andere Art oder gar Gattung? Liebe Grüße
