On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo, von diesem Schnellkäfer wimmelte es heute gerade zu beim Spaziergang durch einen Mischwald. Größe ca. 10mm. Vermutlich ein Ampedus sp. Da es bei den mit den roten Flügeldecken aber so viele gibt, denke ich mal, es geht nur bis zur Gattung? Viele Grüße, Andreas

Request: Hallo, hier noch ein Schnellkäfer vom heutigen Spaziergang im Mischwald. Ich konnte gerade noch ein Bild machen, dann flog er davon. Größe ca. 10mm. Durch die schwarzen Flecken an den Enden der Flügeldecken und der Punkte auf dem Schild vermute ich Anostirus castaneus. Passt das? Viele Grüße, Andreas
