On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo, Körperlänge ca. 4-5mm. Gefunden am 05.05.2023 im Lauterbachtal bei Kleindittmannsdorf. Aus meiner Sicht ein Phyllobius sp., jedoch bei der Art bin ich mir unschlüssig, evtl. ein P. maculicornis? Könnt ihr helfen? Vielen Dank und viele Grüße, Lordus.

Comment: Hallo Lordus, da weiß ich Rat, der heißt Phyllobius argentatus. Der P. maculicornis hat kleinere und kugeligere Augen. Meist sind bei dem auch die Spitze des Fühlerschafts und die Fühlerkeule zumindest leicht geschwärzt (nicht zu 100% verlässlich). Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Corinna

Comment: Hallo MatthiasT, das ist Curculio venosus. Ich wäre auch unsicher, würde man nicht in Foto C ganz ausgezeichnet die Form des Hinterschenkelzahns sehen. Das hat man nicht so oft, denn selbst wenn man den richtigen Blickwinkel erwischt, sind oft Härchen im Weg, die die Innen-/Hinterkante des Zähnchens verdecken. Hier ist sie deutlich eingebuchtet = venosus. Bei pellitus ist die Kante dagegen gerade. Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Corinna
