On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Käfer Kalle, hier geht es für mich leider nur bis zur Gattung Malachius (sensu lato). LG, Christoph - PS: Ein Hinweis zu den Längenangaben: Nimm einen Fitzel Milimeterpapier im Geldbeutel mit nach draußen, dann kann man den mal dranhalten. 5-10 mm ist ein großer Range. Bei 'ner Personen-Fahndung: Der Täter war 1-2 m groß hilft nicht wirklich weiter, so ist es bei der Käferfahndung auch.

Request: 09.06.2023 am Aufstieg zum Ristfeuchthorn, in Gipfelnähe (ca. 1500 mm NN) auf dem Wanderweg ein übel zugerichteter Totfund (ich unterstelle, dass die Teile zusammengehören). Im lichten Wald nahe der aktuellen Waldgrenze. Geht da irgendwas? Ist das eine Art Borkenkäfer? Dürfte im Ganzen mal grob ca. 9-10 mm lang gewesen sein. Die Flügeldecke (knapp 7 mm lang) hab ich noch, rausgepellter Rest leider verloren gegangen. Geht da was? Danke!
