On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Mir ist schleierhaft, wie User so viele Wasserkäfer finden können. Ich hatte insgesamt bisher vielleicht ein Dutzend. Deswegen zeige ich die hier trotzdem: diese Helophorus sp. krochen am 1.6.23 in einer Pfütze unter Wasser auf einem Zweig herum. Der größere hatte 5.3 mm, und weiter geht's natürlich nicht. Viele Grüße

Comment: Hallo Antje, haha, manchmal steh ich so derart auf dem Schlauch ^^. Das ist ein Phytobius leucogaster, und ich hab meinen ursprünglichen Text mit "Curculionidae sp." gelöscht. Statt dessen hast Du nun einen wirklich superschönen Fund, dieses hübsche Tierchen sieht man selten. Und hier passt auf einmal alles: Die weißen Stellen sind genau richtig verteilt und das Klauenglied ist enorm lang; der Rüssel ist genau mittig zwischen dünn und dick :D. Danke für die nette Meldung!
