On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 09.07.2023, Gießen, Stadtrand, Waldrand, Garten, Wildbienennisthilfe. Das ist die 4. Larve von Trichodes sp., die ich an meiner Nisthilfe beobachte. Während sich die anderen Larven aber die Nester von Osmia bicornis oder Symmorphus murarius ausgesucht haben, nagt sich diese Käferlarve durch den Nestverschluss einer Glockenblumen-Scherenbiene. Nicht sehr geschickt, denn der Nestverschluss enthält kleine Steinchen. Schwierig wird es vielleicht auch für den Käfer aus diesem engen Loch herauszukommen.
