On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Rheinufer östlich Geisenheim (Hessen), 80 m NN, 20.04.2016, in morschem Pappelholz (Habitat Bild C); der Stamm muss vor einigen Wochen abgebrochen sein, da sonst der Rhein das kleine Material im Vordergrund schon abtransportiert hätte. Größe des Tieres: 10,8 mm.

Comment: Moin Appius, das ist ein Brachygonus - vermutlich B. megerlei. Ein schöner Fund! Nahe mit der Gattung Ampedus verwandt. Die exakte Bestimmung geht jedoch nur anhand der Unterseite. VG Thomas

Request: 20.04.2016 - Molops cf. elatus??? Da bin ich mir aber grad gar nicht sicher (wenn er's nicht ist, gehört Bild C nicht zu der Anfrage). Ich finde sie da oben im Grenzgebiet zwischen BL, AG und SO derzeitig immer wieder. Auf der Karte von Lukas' Link in Antwort 41505 habe ich mal ein Kreuzchen eingezeichnet, wo das ungefähr ist! Argau, Barmelweid auf ca. 800 m üNN ausserhalb der MTBs. Danke vielmals! Puhh! Das war's für heute! LG Chris

Comment: Moin Chris, das sollte eher Pterostichus madidus oder P. aethiops sein. Molops elatus hat am Übergang vom Seitenrand zur Basis des Halsschildes ein klitzekleines Zähnchen, das den Verlauf unterbricht. Eine Aufnahme der Unterseite hätte hier möglicherweise Aufschluss über die Art gegeben. Ich tendiere zu madidus, aber die Unsicherheiten sind zu groß. Liebe Grüße, Klaas Es ist P.
