On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Weinstöckle, das ist Oxystoma craccae. Nach der Nasenform hätte ich auch eher O. cerdo gesagt, aber die Fühlerfarbe spricht klar für O. craccae. Ich denke, die Härchen unten am Rüssel täuschen ein wenig eine abgerundetere Form vor. Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Corinna

Comment: Hallo Crewman No.1, das ist wahrscheinlich Protaetia morio. Die Art ist bei uns aber nicht bodenständig, es dürfte sich um ein eingeschlepptes oder dem Terrarium entwischtes Tier handeln. Der ist inzwischen in der Markgräfler Trockenaue nachgewiesen (Till Tolasch (2022): Der Schwarze Rosenkäfer Protaetia morio (Fabricius, 1781) (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) neu in Deutschland – Mitteilungen des Entomologischen Vereins Stuttgart – 57, 2022: 19 - 21).
