Request: Seit B. novemmaculata gelegentlich bei uns auftauchte, halte ich schon den ganzen Sommer erfolglos Ausschau nach Buprestis octoguttata.
Heute bringt mein Sohn einen toten Käfer an, den er in unserem Wald gefunden hat - OHNE ZU SUCHEN! Jetzt weiß ich, dass er da ist und freue mich darüber. Irgendwann erwische ich ihn auch lebendig. Wie gut, dass meine Familie mein Hobby unterstützt und die Augen offenhält.

Request: Hallo; in #419437 hab ich die Art ja gerade erst im Wald gefunden, konnte sie kurz darauf aber gleich zwei mal bestätigen. Bei einer Pause wurde ich von Gasterocercus depressirostris besucht, augenscheinlich angelockt vom Licht (Fotos A+B). Später dann hab ich eine Eiche angesehen, da hat sich plötzlich was bewegt (Foto C). Auch wenn sie nicht so aussehen, sind sie sehr agil und ausserordentlich gut getarnt. Das jüngste Exemplar hab ich zudem erst für einen Bockkäfer gehalten und musste meinen Rüssel ganz lang machen, um den Käferrüssel zu erkennen. Mit dem ersten Fund liegen alle Funde weit auseinander und die Art damit bereits über den Wald verteilt nachgewiesen. Der angegebene Fund ist der vom Pausenrüssler; der zweite Fundort ist an der Karte nur schwer auszumachen, irgendwo am Hang; 08.07.2023.
