On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Moin Christoph, ich melde deutliche Zweifel an. Der halsschildseitenrand ist zur Basis nicht ausgeschweift. Auch finde ich, dass der Gesamteindruck für tenebricosa komisch ist. Gruß, Michael Es wurde im Prinzip schon alles gesagt, der Gesamteindruck spricht für Timarcha nicaeensis - bei den Timarcha geht die Determination in Südeuropa selbst am Tier nur schwierig und ist oft nur mit Männchen möglich. Comment: Hallo Christoph, das sieht mir sehr nach Mecaspis alternans aus. In Deutschland wäre das ein sehr schöner Fund. Viele Grüße, Michael Hier revidiere ich meine Meinung noch einmal. Lukas hat mich darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass es auch PSeudocleonus cinereus sein könnte. Der Kiel auf dem HAlsschild spricht dafür. Die Ausprägung der Schultern eher nicht. Bei Mecaspis sollte auf jeden Fall der Halsschild vor dem Schildchen vertieft sein, ist hier nicht so. Ich denke, es wäre besser, den Käfer unter dem Bino zu haben ... Viele Grüße, Michael

Request: 25.04.2016 - Staphylinidae cf. kannmannichtambildbestimmen! Ein "Fotobeifang" vom vorgestrigen Sandhaufen, den ich vor Ort kaum wahrgenommen habe (ca. 5 mm klein). Wegen meines Lernprogrammes habe ich das Tier im Ausschlussverfahren mit Eurer Staphy-Datenbank abgeglichen. Da fallen alle grossen, auffällig gefärbten, dickköpfigen oder grossäugigen Arten schon mal weg. Am Ende bin ich in der Region Xantholinus sp. gelandet ... und an dieser Stelle muss ich auch einmal *seufz* sagen!!! Aargau, Frick auf ca.350 m üNN. Danke für Eure geduldige Hilfe! LG Chris

Viele Grüße, Fabian Ich habe jetzt nur auf die Schnelle und flüchtig drauf geschaut und die aufgehellten Schenkel von A. aenea vermisst. Sollte man sich noch mal genauer ansehen. Viele Grüße, Klaas Klaas hat Recht - hatte nur Bild A angeschaut und mich täuschen lassen - Flügeldeckenstreiffen hinten vertieft, Skutellarporenpunkt vorhanden, Halsschildbasis glatt und Seiten bis unten verrundet - sollte eine schlanke Amara ovata sein. Sieht gar nicht aus wie ein Marienkäfer.
