View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: I found this 3mm long weevil on bare sand in the northern part of the Netherlands on 22.04.2016. I was only able to shoot this one picture, is it enough to say more about this one?
Species, family:
Gronops lunatus
Curculionidae
Comment: Hi Leon, this should be Gronops lunatus. In Europe widespread, but only local and rare, especially on sand, avoids higher elevatios. On Spergularia rubra and salina. Best regards, Christoph

Request: Mein erster Siebenpunkt dieses Jahr. Auf Buchen auf einer Laubwaldlichtung. 29.04.2016
Species, family:
Coccinella sp.
Coccinellidae
