On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Marek, das ist Poecilus cupreus. Es gibt eine Reihe von Merkmalen. Am besten ist ein dorsales Foto. Wenn Du dann versuchst, den Käfer "als ganzes" zu sehen, ist der Halsschild bei cupreus ein bisschen schmaler als die Flügeldecken. Bei versicolor ist der HSch fast ebenso breit wie die Fld. Der Unterschied ist nicht groß, aber man sieht es. Bei versicolor sind die Borsten an der Innenseite der Hinterschienen ebenso dornartig und dunkel wie die auf der Außenseite. Bei cupreus sind innen feinere, hellere Härchen (in Bild C ist das gut zu sehen). Außerdem ist bei cupreus die ganze HSch-Basis punktiert, bei versicolor in der Mitte weniger. Das ist aber nicht so verlässlich. Auch Färbung und Habitus unterscheiden sich. Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Jürgen
