On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Liebes Käferteam, ich bin immer wieder im heimischen Garten auf der Suche nach diesen Tieren: #431614, bei denen ich unsicher bin, ob ich mich nicht doch in der Grösse getäuscht habe - am Sonntag, 17.09.2023, hab ich jedenfalls dieses ca 2,4mm grosse Tier auf einer Pflanze unter dem Kirschbaum gefunden, scheint aber was anderes zu sein, oder (längerer Rüssel)? Comment: Hallo grg, auch das ist Protapion fulvipes (mit Gekrümel ^^). Der ist übrigens 2,0mm lang - bei den Rüsselkäfern wird nach allgemeiner Übereinkunft immer die Länge OHNE den Rüssel angegeben, also vom Vorderrand der Augen bzw. des Kopfes bis zum hinteren Körperende. Request: Heute abend, 07.09.2023, mehrere im Garten an der Kirsche gefunden, deutlich grösser als Protapion nigritarse ein paar Blätter weiter: ist das trotzdem Protapion fulvipes, mit ca 3mm KL, mit Rüssel wohl knapp 4mm? (KI: Rhopalapion longirostre, 4%, Rang 1) Danke und LG grg

Comment: Hallo grg, hier geht steh ich irgendwie auf dem Schlauch. Für Protapion ist er zu behaart, bei R. longirostre hat auch das Männchen einen längeren Rüssel. Eeutrichapion viciae passt auch nicht. Von der Gestalt her passt am ehesten Kalcapion, aber die sind wesentlich kleiner. Vielleicht hat hier jemand anderes ne bessere Idee.... Viele Grüße, Michael Hi zusammen, Protapion fulvipes stimmt schon. Der hier ist gemein, weil er total verkrümelt ist und daher behaart aussieht. Hatte letztens auch so einen kleinen verwirrenden Schlingel ^^. LG Corinna
