On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hi Thomas, that's a difficult one for me. I would agree with tribe Cryphalini. Cryphalus though is present in conferous forests. I think this requires an expert plus a look at a collected specimen. Best regards, Christoph

Request: 05.05.2016 - Curculio cf. glandium? Jaaa! Nun kommen schon wieder die unsicheren Kandidaten. Das Tier schaukelte da so in der Krautschicht unter den alten Eichen herum, geschätzte 6-7 mm gross. Aargau, Waldwegrand Kaisten auf ca. 330 m üNN. Danke für Eure stets lehrreichen Bestimmungen!
