On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Ich habe gestern Nacht den Ammelshainer Wald abgesucht, um vielleicht noch einen lebenden Lacon zu finden. Ich kenne jetzt jede alte lebende und tote Eiche. Einen Lacon gab es nicht, dafür diverses anderes. 6 mm, 10.05.2016

Comment: Moin Martin, es ist ein Männchen von Melolontha melolontha, Feldmaikäfer. Mir wird aber nicht ersichtlich, warum er da klemmt. Normalerweise würde ich davon ausgehen, dass ihn ein Räuber da eingeklemmt hat und so, wie der Kopf verbogen ist, sollte das wohl auch stimmen. Er weist aber keinerlei Fraßspuren auf, so dass Du den Räuber möglicherweise zu früh gestört haben könntest, um sein Mahl zu beginnen und vor allem zu beenden. ;-) Viele Grüße, Klaas
