View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Found 28.04.2016 inside my apartment's window in southern Zeeland, Denmark. Could it be Dasytus virens with the very wide pronotum and quite wide wing cases in the back? This species is not recorded from Denmark, but is recorded from northern Germany, northwestern Poland and England. Length 4,3 mm. (I have other pictures)
Species, family:
Dasytes sp.
Melyridae
Comment: Hi Brianwillum, in this case we can just determine the genus Dasytes. I would need a specimen under my binocular for more. Best regards, Christoph

Species, family:
Acupalpus meridianus
Carabidae
Comment: Hallo Markus, ok ok, in Gottest Namen bestätigt als Acupalpus meridianus. Danke für die Meldung. LG, Christoph ;-)
