View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Species, family:
Brachyta interrogationis
Cerambycidae

Request: 10.06.2014
Species, family:
Hippodamia cf. septemmaculata
Coccinellidae
Comment: Hi Kent, this is Hippodamia tredecimpunctata. Palearctic species, Europe, North Africa, Caucasus, Siberia. Lives on vegetation alongside rivers and ponds and on soggy meadows on Sparganium, Phragmites and Carex species, but also on willow Preys on various willow aphids, but also on the mealy plum aphid Hyalopterus pruni. Best regards, Christoph - PS: The photos B and C showed a different species. Please submit them in a separate request. This needs most likely a correction: Should be Hippodamia septemmaculata, but some uncertainty remains. Regards, Christoph
