On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Ein Vertreter der Zipfelkäfer. Ich weiss, das 2. Bild ist Schrott, zeigt aber unscharf 2 gelbe Flecken am Halsschildvorderrand. Vielleicht hilft´s ja :D

Comment: Hallo Christoph, hier geht es leider nur bis zur Gattung Malachius s.l. Was man in Foto B sieht, sind die ausstülpbaren Hautsäcke, nicht eine Färbung der Halsschildvorderecken. Somit kein M. bipustulatus. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Wolfgang, das Foto B des Mesosternalfortsatzes macht das Tierchen eindeutig zu einer Protaetia. Nur dummerweise sieht man im Foto A nicht, ob die Knie tomentiert sind oder nicht. Von daher ist Protaetia cuprea zwar die wahrscheinlichste Lösung, aber nicht sicher festzumachen. LG, Christoph
