View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

LG, Christoph

Request: 19.05.2014 in Matema/Tansania auf einer "Lichtung" einer Kakaoplantage. 4 mm.
(Keine Eile... ;) )
Species, family:
Aspidimorpha sp.
Chrysomelidae
Comment: Hallo Martin, hier habe ich beim Meister persönlich angefragt, nämlich L. Borowiec. Hier seine Antwort: "It is a member of the genus Aspidimorpha, very difficult to identify only from photo. Most similar is common in Tanzania Aspidimorpha icterica Boheman, 1854 but has length usually above 6 mm. Pale form of A. dissentanea is also similar with length 5-11 mm". LG, Christoph
