View answered requests for beetle ID

On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: On Spain,Picos da Europa/Fuente Dé, at a mountain track, on 2016/JUn/12.
I supose that it's time that i put something outside Portugal, but this one is a special and unknown Cerambycidae for me. Thank you.
Species, family:
Dorcadion sp.
Cerambycidae
Comment: Hi Carlos, this is a representative of the subgenus Iberodorcadion of the genus Dorcadion. This subgenus is particularly diverse in Spain and unfortunately we cannot determine your specimen to species level. Determination of Dorcadion spp. is tricky and in most cases not possible without having the actual specimen. Best regards, Fabian

Request: 24.06.2016 - Harpalus sp.??? Also ohne Euch geht's hier nicht weiter! LG Chris
