2016-06-15 Request: I caught this 8.3 mm long weevil on light in Boijl, in the Northern part of the Netherlands on 15.06.2016. wasn't able to make any more pictures,is this one enough to tell more about this one?

Comment: Hi Leon, it belongs to the Genus Otiorhynchus. I Think this is most likely Otiorhynchus singularis, but I can't exclude O. veterator for 100%. Regards Gernot

Comment: Hallo Schäfer, zwar nicht so ganz scharf, aber das sollte ein Anisodactylus binotatus sein. Behaarung auf den Flügeldecken, rotgelbes erstes Fühlerglied, sollte passen. In Mitteleuropa überall häufig, eurytop in feuchten Biotopen, auch auf Kulturland. LG Gernot
