On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

diesen recht großen (ca 17mm), glänzend schwarzen aber doch auch behaarten, Schnellkäfer fand ich am 30.06.16 im Gimbsheimer Sand ganz oben an einem Grashalm Ausschau haltend.
Könnte es ein Melanotus sein?

Request: Kahl am Main, 110m, 1.7.2016. Trichodes apiarius. Liebes Käfer-Team, könnt ihr mir sagen, warum die Flügeldeckel des oberen Tieres (Männchen vermutlich) unterschiedlich gefärbt sind? Sieht irgendwie ausgeblichen aus. Das Bild ist nicht wirklich scharf, ich wollte es schon löschen, als mir die unterschiedliche Färbung auffiel. Gruß Peter
