On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Zweiter Pinselkäfer
Hallo Team,

Request: 16.6.2013, Rychory, Czech Republic, wood, clearing
Species, family:
Stenocorus quercus
Cerambycidae
Comment: Hi Mirek, hard to tell. Have never seen one like these and can only guess that it is Stenocorus quercus, nowadays put into an own genus and so called Anisorus quercus. Have a look at these pages of Martin Rejzek and Michal Hoskovec. Maybe contact one of them and say hello for me. I met both of them many years ago. they possibly can help and as you can see the two guys are Czech, too. Regards, Klaas

Request: Found today in Bielsko-Biala (South Poland). I think it is Oedemeridae sp. But maybe you can tell me more.
Species, family:
Oedemera sp.
Oedemeridae
Comment: Hi Inja, either Oedemera virescens or O. montana or O lurida. O. virescens and O. lurida are rather found in the lowlands, whereas O. montana, as the name already implies, prefers the mountain range. Regards, Christoph

Request: Found last weekend in South Poland, at altitude about 750 meters. Agrypnus murina ?
Species, family:
Prosternon cf. tessellatum
Elateridae
Comment: Hi Inja, this is most probably the click beetle Prosternon tessellatum. Europe, Asia and North America. From the planar to the subalpine zone. Larva in the trunks of conifers. There is a second Prosternon species present in Romania, P. chrysocomum. It is quite similar, but has an even denser and more shiny pubescence on the elytra and pronotum. Regards, Christoph

Species, family:
Smaragdina salicina
Chrysomelidae

Nordafrika, Europa, Kleinasien, Kaukasus. Entwicklung an Eiche. Species, family:
Omaloplia cf. ruricola
Scarabaeidae
Comment: Hallo werdie, wahrscheinlich Omaloplia ruricola. LG, Christoph
