On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: I found this 1.6 mm long beetle on the underside of a willow leave in Zandhuizen, in the northern part of the Netherlands. I can't even find the right family, can you help me with this one?

Comment: Hallo Christine, das ist entweder Tachyerges stigma oder Tachyerges pseudostigma. Schon diese Namensgebung zeigt, dass sie schwer zu unterscheiden sind. Am besten am Aedoeagus des Männchens. Beide kommen (unter anderem) an Weide vor. LG, Christoph
