On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo! Bei diesem Trichius von heute aus der Schütt in Kärnten vermute ich keinen fasciatus, weil die schwarze Schulterbinde nicht durchgehend ist (hab ich hier gelernt). Gibt die Unterseite etwas her für eine weitere Abgrenzung? Danke und lg, Christine

Comment: Hallo Christine, die Trennung über die Beschuppung der Sternite läuft bei T. zonatus und T. sexualis nur beim Männchen und somit gilt nur der Positivbeweis. Sprich wenn sie da ist, ist's ein Männchen von T. sexualis, wenn nicht die anderen 3 Optionen. Hier sehe ich das nicht klar genug, daher muss es bei Trichius sp. bleiben. LG, Christoph

Request: Monochamus sutor? zwischen 25 und 30mm lang. Von meinem Kollegen am 08.07.2013 auf den Stufen eines Bäckerladens gefunden, was eher für die Schwesternart sprechen würde.

Comment: Hallo Marion, das sollte Monochamus galloprovincialis sein. Die Unterscheidung von Monochamus sutor läuft über das Schildchen, das bei sutor in der Mitte durchgängig getrennt ist, ist bei galloprovincialis nur an der Basis eingeschnitten ist. Die häufigste unserer drei heimischen Monochamus-Arten. Entwickelt sich in Kiefer und kann dort Schäden anrichten. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Heiko, korrekt bestimmt als Anthrenus scrophulariae. Kosmopolit, Kulturfolger. Meidet kalte Regionen. Die Käfer ernähren sich von Pollen (Doldenblütler, Weißdorn, Eberesche), die Larven von keratin- und chitinhaltigen Stoffen (tote Insekten, Haare, Federn). LG, Christoph
