On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Charly, aus den Gattungen Halyzia und Vibidia kommt nur jeweils eine Art in Deutschland vor. Es ist aber keine davon, sondern Calvia quatuordecimguttata. Der Käfer hat schließlich auch vierzehn Punkte. Wobei das auch bei Halyzia sedecimguttata vorkommen kann, die Art sind aber doch etwas anders aus. Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Moritz

Request: Hallo, liebes Käferteam, diesen Kunden hier hatte ich schon als ganz gemeinen Erlenblattkäfer abgebucht, aber beim näheren Hinsehen scheint es mir ein Linaeidea aenea zu sein? LG! Fund am 7.5.17 am Wegesrand, ca, 8 mm groß

Comment: Hallo sillu52, gut aufgepasst, es ist tatsächlich nicht Agelastica alni (Erlenblattkäfer), sondern Plagiosterna aenea (auf kerbtier.de unter dem alten Namen Linaeidea aenea), der ebenfalls häufig auf Erlen zu finden ist. Die Art unterscheidet sich von A. alni (unter anderem) durch die kurzen Fühler. Danke für die Meldung. Viele Grüße, Moritz
