On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Gefunden tagsüber im Haus/Küchenboden (EFH im Erdgeschoss). Vor der Haustür im Garten stehen z.B. Liguster, Rosen, Efeu, Ranunkel, Buchsbaum u.ä.
Wir haben schon letztes Jahr solche im EG gefunden. Können das Korn-/Reiskäfer sein? Oder eher eine Draußen-Familie? 24.04.2017, Länge ca. 7mm

Comment: Hallo Tom, das ist Otiorhynchus dieckmanni. Kennzeichen der Untergattung Arammichnus sind die beidseitig zum Apex verbreiterten Schienen. Inzwischen auch in die USA eingeschleppt. Kann an Topfpflanzen schädlich werden. Definitiv eine "Draußen-Art". In Wohnungen verlaufen sie sich nur oder wir tragen sie mit drinnen überwinternden Topfpflanzen ein. LG, Christoph
