On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallöchen. Nach dem HN+-Fund vor drei Jahren in Misburg kann ich nun einen weiteren Nachweis von Agrilus pratensis aus dem Norden "liefern", diesmal mehr in meiner Ecke, und wieder wärmeexponiert nahe den Gleisen (oder nur Zufall?). Comment: Hi valterj, this is Camptorhinus simplex, a xerothermophile species that lives in open, exposed oak forests. It's best caught with light traps, as it's relatives Camptorhinus statua and Gasterocerus depressirostris. All these species are scarcely found and are judged as "primeval forest relict species". Althought they are rare, it's rather their hidden way of life what makes them to real rarities. Best regards, Christoph
