On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Der Käfer war so 4mm groß. Er saß auf Wiesen Schaumkraut (Cardamine pratensis). Vermutlich ein Käfer aus der Gruppe Bruchus.
Gefunden am 18.4.2018, später Nachmittag, sonnig, auf einer Wiese mit Baumbestand.

Request: Das Tierchen war ca. 3mm groß. Es gab mehrere davon. Hier zu sehen auf einer Wicke (Vicia sepium). Vermutlich ein Käfer aus der Gruppe Bruchus.

Request: I found it on the railway bridge between the 4th and the 13th district of Budapest on 12-04-2018 where it's very common. It was only 3 mm long maximum. Unfortunately weevils are very similar to each other. My guess would be Simo hirticornis.
