View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Species, family:
Cionus sp.
Curculionidae
Comment: Hi Cilko, this a member of the genus Cionus. I think this is one of the species in the hortulanus-group. But Cionus is not easy to be determined by photo. Hence, a can't procide a certain determination down to species level in this case. Regards, Christoph

Species, family:
Galerucella sp.
Chrysomelidae
Comment: Hi Cilko, that is a member of the genus Galerucella (Chrysomelidae). In cases like this, it would be nice to have much bigger photos and more than only one photo, to have a look at the beetle from different perspectives. Then we maybe can ID the beetle down to species level. Regards, Klaas

LG, Christoph
