On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: So Christoph, bis jetzt konntest du heute alles bestimmen. Ich bin gespannt, wie es hier aussieht. Dieser breit gebaute Staphy war im schlammigen Boden am Rand einer Baumgruppe unterwegs. Ich traue mir nach den Fehlbestimmungen eben auch keine Gattung zu. Fund: 2.5.18, KL: etwa 6mm

Comment: Hallo LimosaM, hier geht es für mich leider nur bis zur Gattung Oedemera. Man sieht die verdickten Hinterschenkel, das haben die Männchen von O. lurida nicht. Für Waghäusel kommt O. monticola nicht in Frage, also bleibt eigentlich nur O. virescens, aber die sollte so um die 10 mm groß sein. LG, Christoph

Request: on a leaf of dock plant I noticed a supposingly dead larva with two predatory maggots of Xanthandrus, I prasume. I can not figure out what was the victom. The upper photo is not enough sharp but one can notice thoratic legs very small head and the absence of prolegs. A leaf beetle?
