On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo stine55, hier geht's leider nur bis zur Gattung. Hemicrepidius kann man gut an den spitz nach aussen stehenden Halsschildhinterwinkeln erkennen. Die beiden in Frage kommenden Arten H. hirtus sowie H. niger kann man von oben (und senkrecht von unten) allerdings nicht unterscheiden. Da braucht's seitliche Aufnahmen der Vorderbrust. Beide Arten kommen in Mitteleuropa nebeneinander vor. Ab Mai zu finden. LG, Christoph

Request: Hallo und guten Abend, jetzt muss ich Euch doch schon wieder in Anspruch nehmen. Diesen Käfer fand ich am 03.05.2013 ebenfalls in den Flusschottergebieten der Oker, Galmeirasen, niedrige Vegetation, Randbereiche mit Busch- und Baumbestand. Ich hatte ihn als Otiorhynchus crataegi bestimmt, mir sind jetzt aber doch nach Vergleich hier auf Kerbtier und mit anderen Vergleichsbildern kräftige Zweifel gekommen. Vielleicht könnt Ihr mir diesen Burschen wenigstens bis zur Gattung bestimmen?

Request: noch ein Altfund, 14.08.2010 auf einer Stromtalwiese südl. von Speyer. dachte zuerst an einen Cantharidae, konnte dort aber nichts passendes finden. Bin dann über die Farben auf Lygistopterus sanguineus gestoßen, die Form der schwarzen Färbung im Halsschild stimmt aber nicht mit dem Bild überein. Größe ca. 6 mm, die Blüte ist Galium - könnt iohr vielleicht aufklären ? Leider nur dies eine Foto.

Die Käfer leben in Laubwäldern und entwickeln sich an verpilztem Holz von Buche, seltener Erle und anderen Laubbäumen. Europa ohne den Norden, Kleinasien, Vorderer Orient. Comment: Hallo Urs, Oedemera stimmt natürlich, aber wie tristis sieht es für mich nicht aus. Der Halsschild scheint zwar zu glänzen, aber das kann auch täuschen. Grün ist tristis eigentlich auch nicht, sondern eher schwarz bis dunkelblau. Es kann virescens sein oder monticola. Ich würd es hier bei Oedemera spec. belassen.
