On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo, nach all den netten Bestimmungen heute noch eine lustige Zugabe aus dem FFH Reliktwald Lampertheim vom 13.05.2018.
Der kleine hartnäckige Wadenbeißer hing an einem der dort Dutzenden umherlaufenden und sich paarenden Eichenwidderböcken auf gefällten Eichen. Das Ameisentier ließ sich auch nicht abschütteln. Der Widderbock zerrte die Ameise also hinter sich her, sah lustig aus.
Ebenso paarten sich dort dutzende Cerambyx scopolii.
Nach den geschätzten ausgeflogenen "Millionen" von Maikäfern ist es ein echt gutes Käferjahr 2018. Überall sehr viele Käfer und Insekten im Reliktwald.

Geht bei dem Roten Schnellkäfer wirklich nichts Genaues? Ist das nicht der Blutrote Schnellkäfer (Ampedus sanguineus)?
