On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Chris, bestätigt als Propylea quatuordecimpunctata. LG, Christoph Hallo Chris, der Name der Art kommt von der Anzahl der schwarzen Punkte auf gelbem Grund. Dein Exemplar ist eine Variante, bei der die schwarzen Flecken so stark vergrößert sind, dass sie ineinander übergehen und verschmelzen. Dadurch entsteht der Eindruck gelber Punkte auf schwarzem Grund, aber es ist genau umgekehrt. Schau Dir mal die Themenseite "Färbungsvarianten Coccinellidae" an, dort kannst Du schön alle Zwischenvarianten verfolgen und sehen, wie der Übergang von 14 kleinen schwarzen Flecken zu deiner Variante erfolgt. Danke für die Meldung. rufipennis hat das dritte Fühlerglied auffallen breit gestaltet, Bei den Weibchen recht deutlich dreieckig, aber etwas kleiner, als die folgenden Glieder, bei den Männchen nicht ganz so auffällig aber immer noch breiter als die vorherigén, +/- dreieckig.
