On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Comment: Hallo Thomas, ich bin jetzt mal gemein und machs mir einfach. Man sieht weder das Ende der Flügeldecken (schwarzer Fleck bei der bei weitem häufigsten Art C. populi) noch den Seitenrand der Flügeldecken. Daher geht hier geht es für mich leider nur bis zur Gattung Chrysomela, den C. sehen der Chrysomela populi doch sehr ähnlich. Sorry und viele Grüße, Holger

Comment: Hallo Peda, das sieht sehr nach dem Brotkäfer Stegobium paniceum aus. Wenn der in der Wohnung auf deinem Arm gelandet ist, gibt es irgendwo eine Tüte Nudel, Reis, Kekse, etc., in der er und seine Kumpels sich entwickeln. In Europa boreomontan, d.h. in Skandinavien und den Gebirgslagen Südostdeutschlands, dazwischen mit Auslöschungszone. Auf Blüten von Geranium silvaticum, G. pratense, Paeonia, Trollius, Taraxacum und Skabiosen. Larve in den Wurzeln der Wirtspflanzen. RL 2. Schöner Fund, danke für die Meldung! LG, Christoph
